Thought I might never slide on that Tuk snow again. When made the plan to be in New England next week I figured snow at the end of May was a long shot, but it appears from all reports that the rad potential is high. Pinch me and tell me that it is true. And is it difficult to get a spot at Hermit Lake mid-week?

Just got back a couple hours ago. Check My TR: Sled's Trip Report: 5/19/05 (http://timefortuckerman.com/forums/showthread.php?p=53979#post53979) Pictures in my gallery.

Mid-week shelter space is rarely a problem. Today, there might have been ten people in the bowl.

Enjoy it while it's here.

I was there on may 14. you will have to hike up and down, but there was plenty of snow. It was not hard to over night on the mountain.Plenty of room.

I skied it July 11th last year... mind you there wasn't much... but it was last trax! About a week earlier there was much more snow.

There should be good coverage into June! Cold temps are prevailing yet the rain keeps on..... at least it's not a hot rain.

Still more rain forecasted this week, but for this time of the year the ravine has more snow than in most previous year. Best bet will most certainly be Left Gully which is still top to bottom as well as Hillmans.

Here is Left Gully May 21th...

The runout is even holding up pretty good...

Great pic of LG! I wish I could get back there, i've never done LG before and I HAVE TO NEXT TIME! Esp. the cornice at the top, in summer its like a 50 foot rock face...very intimidating from the Tux trail...
