OK I had my first ski dream of the season on Monday night so that is the offical beginning for me. It happens every year and lasts till I finally get out on the snow.
Seeing as Kmart will be the first destination for many this year I am interested in your favorite killington sliding spots

Fav Trail: Devils Fiddle (duh)

Fav Off Trail: Anarchy or Grouse Mountain

Fav "Run": Starting from Killington peak, hiking up to do upper catwalk, taking heavenly traverse to upper west glade, bashing the moguls there, hitting lower powerline for some off trail into the bottom of the glades, taking racers edge out onto conclusion, hitting the knolls and moguls there down the steep lower with the 15 foot rock face huck under the lift, finishing it off with huge moguls below. Maximun entertainment! And only one enclosed lift ride to do it again...

I've only been on one "off site" run at Kmart, and it was to some little shack and everyone was smoking in there.

M@, that would be Cooper's Cabin. I've been there plenty of times. That would be my favorite run!!! Besides the fiddle of course. And I agree w/ Targhee, Anarchy would be the best off-trail.

as much as people bash K MART. it is a kickin' place midweek on a VT/NH/Quebec day. No lines and cheap ticket! i couldn't really tell ya any off trail by name, but i've done a lot and it's KILLER! Coopers is a nice rest spot as well. the cooper pooper is pretty handy too! :outhouse:

Someone will have to refresh my memory on how to get to Coopers. I don't remember it being a very hard trail in or out.

yeah coopers is a cool little jaunt if only for the scenery. I love it because the short stubby pines create a snow roof and it feels like you are skiing indoors on the part before the cabin... Is there any place on earth that has the age range of sparkers than coopers? Of course you miss the mogul section of west glade (sigh)
