So last saturday I was supposed to go ride Tuck's but no, didn't happen and I can't even remember why now. This sunday I'm supposed to go up but rain is predicted, and a good lot too... Does anyone else have this much trouble getting to the bowl? Either plans come up or the weather craps out. Trying to balance that in with tests and the last week of school its just depressing me because theres still snow in New England but all my board can do right now is collect dust. :( :(

ya lately the last few weekends its been raining, coinsidentally ever sense I moved into my new house, ever weekend RAIN.
Im really sick of it, usually I say , "hey rain, it happens" But not every weekend.
Maybe if i sell my new house and move back to the crappy location the weather will shift back to normal and we can ski tux again.
"It can't rain all the time" someone should be able to guess where that quote came from...

Nope... I just make my plans and go...
Bring a rain jacket, some beer and a deck of cards...
Yeah, I made the mistake of planning my annual visit until the first of these successive weekends of rain and, thus, the rain dates have been just that. I should have gone in March, when conditions were epic and I could ski back to my car. Now, it looks like I may have an o-fer.

I did my penance, two trips in dodgey weather...that's enough for this year. I was hoping for a GG on Sunday 5/15 but the "60%/Rain-likely" forecast is just too much.
I can wait another week...

Wish I could say the same, but the doc just gave my wife "this baby is looking like she might want to show up early" prognosis. Doesn't look like I'll be finding myself a 3-hour drive + 3-hour hike away any time soon. Oh well, I guess I'll have to drown my sorrows in gear, er, beer.

Atually, if I'm lucky my now-almost 2-year-old son, will still enjoy riding on my back for added resistance during my hiking and biking excursions. It's funny; with him at 28# now, my summer day pack outweighs my winter ski pack.

congrats on your pending new addition---EVERY time i've gone up to tux the weather has tried to beat me back but i plan for it and it usually gives me one good day out of 4....the rest of the days i just do it and squeek at least one run out---the mountain she is a very finicky :)

When I went up two weeks ago on saturday (4/30) the rain was nice enough to hold out until we were hiking down, but sunday looks like steady rain from saturday afternoon, and of course my buddy Josh has saturday as the only day he's working in the week... Would the run be worth it if its raining out? I've never ridden in the rain so I have no clue what the snow will be, but I'm guessing slush. Its either sunday or next weekend. Rain on sunday, some 18th birthday... thanks alot nature.
On a more uplifting note, congrats on the new addition to your family, ATP! Best of health to her!
