Ya know? I wonder if they up the price after each inquiry? I have adventurespirit.com and all it's permutaions... took me 3 yrs and a few I snagged by the "backorder" feature at networksolutions.
Where'd you get that quote/info?

Ha! They WISH they can get that.. for example from the owners of t4t.com which is some training company of sorts.
I own a few like snowcarver.com and skiextreme.com which I'll sell for less than that... mind you one of my best friends owns skiextreme.ca, and I should probably hold onto this for her...
Lets turn it Canadian! t4t.ca
or t-4-t.us is also available...
I know of a few other possibles.. but not sure that it helps unless it was t4t.com
So who wants snowcarver.com?? Taking bids now!
oops! :hijack:
Where'd you get that quote/info?
I just went to T4T.Org and the company had a form you put an email addreess in for a quote.

Sounds like you have big plans DMC.
I know a lot of sites that use a LOT of domains hoping to get more coverage in search engines and such.
I was dumb back in 1995 not to scope up domains like skiing.com, ski.com, mcdonalds.com etc. Ah well easy to say that now I suppose...
hey who wants to register timeforbeer.com.. its available!
tuckstbar.com even
time for the timefor network of sites...
My intention was to save snowbaording URLs for ski areas that did not allow...
And as they started to allow - I give them back for the fee of a few days lift ticket - so I could experience the mountain as a snowboarder...
Aspen came on line and I asked them about it and they said no....
All I wanted was 4 days lift and 4 days lodging and the URL would be theres...
Oh well...
The Hunter Mountain ones I reserved cause they never registered them... Figured - I'd keep them safe... One day if they approach me - I deal with them for something.. Nothing extravagent...
Funny thing is I 'm friends with their Web guy and we NEVER talk about stuff like that... I turned www.HunterMtn.net into a message board after they took their down..

Ha! good one DMC. Yes speculation can pay off. I paid about $750 for snowcarver.com and skiextreme.com with the plan to offer web based email which was, so they so, all the rage a while back. After looking into this for a bit we decided to forget it.. not worth it.. KISS. If you want webmail, stick with the big guns like yahoo who have the resources to deal with all the issues.
