That's right I said step away.
It's too damn nice to be sitting at the keyboard when there's skiing, kayaking, bicycling, fishing, hiking to be had.
I am logging off as I'd rather be doing any of the above activities than sitting here.
Cypberspace is so lame sometimes.

Me too! I can't even take my own advice.
Guess I am just dreaming of getting out here.

There is only two things in the world that I would rather be doing than hiking and skiing Tucks.
The first would be inappropriate to discuss with all of you ;)
The second would be skiing with all my girls, my wife and two daughters.
Then there would be hiking and skiing Tucks with all the great people I have met,and plan to meet on this board.
Then there's hiking and skiing Tucks solo, which although dangerous adds a new dimension.
Sometimes all we have in life is our dreams.
....mmmmmmm Kasha.........
I just got back from a quick skin up Hunter... Skins work fine on the tele skis without attatching the taill...
Made it to middle station and it started snowing... Dumping huge flakes...
amazing...

I've hiked up Tux alone twice and both times made friends within 1/2 hour on the trail, and more friends in the bowl.
If you cherish the back country than you will most certainly befriend its lovers and rarely be alone.
Solo hikes in avi season might be a different story perhaps, but that's a different story.

Steve,
I wish me and casey had the chance to spend some time, skiing/boarding or beers.
So odd that you actually shared a bunk with us and we didnt even know it.
I would of sat with you at breakfast but the sun was blasting your table, and we were toasty from the summit, I figured I had enough sun.
