Whew! Glad you put that http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif in there or I would thunk you tried ot insult me! http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif heh heh heh.... Oh yeah... did you find a decent pack yet?
Sorry M@ for the tangent here.
I got my tix by going to RedSox.com almost every day from the world series win until most of the games were sold out. I didn't pay much money (face value for every ticket) but it was a lot of work.
So, I proudly hold my head high, and say I did NOT pay any scalper's a penny for my tickets.
At monday's opening day (which was the Best baseball game of my life hands DOWN) - for which we paid $45 a seat, were were sitting next to one guy who spend $500, and another guy who spend almost $1k. At the end of the game, they were both absolutly phsyched they did it, and said it was worth every penny. I gotta say, if I had paid $1k I'd probably still be happy... it was that good. Ring Ceremony, perfect seats to watch that HUGE 2004 banner come down on the monster and see the F16 fly-over... and then... oh baby... what could be better then STOMP on the yankees at fenway park! Man - I'm getting the tingles just thinking about it.

Seeing Johnny Pesky and Yaz hoist the flag would have been worth the price of admission alone...

BTW, I did go to a Seadogs game the other night and they are kicking a$$! New Shortstop Hanley Ramirez (whom is now on the sox roster) is VERY good and young for that matter...

Hey, M@ was that you slapping Sheffield last nite?
Justin, ccan you get tix to the seadogs at the gate or do they sell out?
BTW, I did go to a Seadogs game the other night and they are kicking a$$!
Yeah - Seadogs rock. Love their park. We usually take in a game a year up thar. Good beers on tap too. Mighty fine. We'll be watching them play in Manchester this year. That's the kind of baseball I can actually afford to take the kids to.
Hey, M@ was that you slapping Sheffield last nite?
He swung first... I was actually pretty far away from that, but I could see a TV from my seat and saw the replay. Sox vs. Yanks - never a boring game.
Justin, ccan you get tix to the seadogs at the gate or do they sell out?
They have general admission, but if you want good seats you gotta get their early. The gen admission section is pretty big, and is in the general stands area, so it's a pretty good deal I think. We bought ours well ahead of game time though... I dunno if we needed to do that.

This time of year it's easy to get a good seat -- though there Really isn't a BAD seat in the house. It like fenway but smaller -- duh. I love going to games there it a blast. Like M@ said, it cheaper... and EVERYTHING is cheaper.
tickets are 6-12ish for GA, I guy that works for a company that we do work with (wew) has season tickets and drops them off for us to take...

Phug where are your seats for 7/18? I'm in Section 24.
You all should also come check out the Spinners. Great park, cheap beer!

Likewise -- if you know what date you're coming, I can usually snag a block of Seadogs tickets in the 2nd row right behind home plate. Good seats -- but bring a blanket for night games at this time of year.
Make sure you eat Seabiscuits. They've gone down a bit in quality since 2 years ago, but they're still good.

C-ya then Castlerock, we can scheme up next years trip to Sugarbush.
I'm headed to tonight's game... not great seats or anything, but I'm gonna try to get the cowbell and bike horn on the audio track on TV... I know, it's as gay as people waving on their cell phones... but do I not entertain you?
So, if you're watching tonight, when Bellhorn is batting, or when he makes a good play (or when he makes ANY play!) listen for the "Ding Ding, Honk Honk" and you'll be hearing me!

Any interest in monday's game? I wanted to see some baseball while the wife+kids are away (bringing the kids to plenty of games too.. don't worry) and the Red Sox/ Fisher Cats AND the Nashua Pride are all outta town next week. The seadogs have a MONDAY night game. Whattya think?

Major horn failure tonight... stupid reed musta got bent or something. I need a new horn. I'm thinking I need a new bell too... the cow bell seems to remind people of Yankee stadium which sucks... when they hear the bell and the horn it's all laughs and smiles... but when it's bell and then the failed horn, well, it's not so good.

Just back from Manchester. Sea dogs won 5-4.
It was cool to see Hanley, Pedrioa, Moss, Murphy, etc up close.
The new park in Manchester is def worth the price of admission.
All the seats are close to the action, we were along the 1B line, right near the 1st base coach. Could almost reach out and touch 1st base.
Hope to make it up to Portland soon, Gotta love Minor league baseball.
Hanley went 1-4 with a 2B and Pedrioa went 1-4 with 2 RBI's, man he's a little guy too.
Wickad Pissah. I just watched Field of Dreams, and am watching the Cubs try to beat San Dieago right now... ball park is too big.

I like Petco park, and the Padres are playing well there so far this year.
Was flipping during a commercial and found "History of the World - Part I"
I think it's about time for Part II personally... I like Mel Brooks.

Have fun tonight M@, I'll be listening for the Bell-Horn.
The horn broke, so I didn't bring it. I had MANY oppertunites to ring/honk it too... the 3 run homer woulda been one good time, and he was involved in just about every other play all night. BELL HORN!
A good game.. won in the 9th... and we poached the lux box for free food and beers, which just about balanced out the $50 babysitting bill. Worth it.

Another great game.
Oh, I'll bet that balanced out the $50 babysitting bill. On Tuesday night. I had 3 Guiness and a hot dog and a bag of peanuts.....$35!
I had
2 hot dogs: $8
2 bowls of chowdah: $10
5 beers (sam, not bud): $30
Suzy had a couple bowls of chowdah: $10
Some jalapeno poppers: $4
and a salad: $2
3 beers: $18
So we woulda spent $82 I guess... but we probably wouldn't have had that much if it was all that expensive. Gotta love the box.
M@

Are those the box prices? Damn, those are cheap. The Guiness were $6.75 ea!
Are those the box prices?
Those are my estimated non-box prices. The stuff in the box is all free, as in beer. There's a fridge full of beers and a buffet type setup with good food. During the 4th and 9th innings they deliver a pizza too... the box rocks.

You are 10 to 20 percent low on all your guestimates.
You need to spend more time down with the po' folk.
(or invite some of us po' folk along!)
Spent tonight with the riff-raff... pretty much the farthest grand stand seats from home plate... section 4 I think. Pretty much last row. Stupid loosers lost. Had fun with brothers-in-law... and I had to drive, ergo only one beer, ergo another majorly cheap night at fenway. Bro-in-law wanted to buy me a coke, and I said "At these prices? No way." If we were at a gas station or something, I'd pick up that 50 cent can of soda... but $4.50? Gimme a break.

I usually try to smuggle a bottle of soda into the park via underpants. They cost 1.29 at dunkin donuts and 4.25 inisde, I hate aramark!
Or give to female companion, they never pat the girls down....hehehehe.

Friday night the security let the girl in front of me walk in with a soda in her hand. I can go the 3hrs at baseball without a drink (soda/beer/water) but I've been to outdoor summer concerts where they were very strict on no outside beverages... and you're really pushing it being out in the sun for 5hr+ and dancing etc... and not having ANY liquids excapt the vending rip off stuff.
