A friend and I are planning to head over the 1st weekend in April and camp each night. I've camped legally at the "pay"campgrounds but, I do not think they're open now. Are they? I mostly sleep in my car or near by in the woods, all low key, and I do purchase the car parking pass. What are my best legal or "not frowned upon" options at this time. Thanks

go about 4 miles north of the visitor's center and there is a small forestry site up on the left - don't recall the name - not many sites, so take a chance - open all year round as far as I know. Last time I was there it was full, but everyone's friendly, so we just doubled up on a site.

The campground is the Dolly Copp campground. I camped there last year and it was crowded. Get there by 8:00 if you want a campsite.
I'm looking for a camping site that can hold like 15 people and is not adverse to "wild life" if you know what I mean.

Dolly Copp: I called and they said there are "No reserveable sites" for the day I'd like to stay. Does anyone know if this is becuase they don't allow reservations, or could the whole place be reserved already?
