Is there a place along the hike or at HoJo's to refill water bottles? Heading up Monday and excited as hell

The only water is natrually occuring stream water, which you are advised to treat before drinking.

Yr2 I treated a BIG 5 gallon jug with the recommended ammount of iodine. I was fine.

Yr3 I treated the 5 gal jug with a little less iodine, and I had a "upset" stomach the second day and couldn't sleep too well.

Yr4 I treated the 5 gal with MUCH less iodine, and had a much more upset stomach, but I slept okay.

This year, I'm either filtering or treating with excatly as much iodine as the directions call for.

Other winter campers I know swear by boiling any water they consume.

I dunno what's in the water that your trying to treat for though. Beaver Poop I think.

M@, Could the copious amount of alcohol comsumed be a contributing factor on that "upset stomach" ? :-) /Saxman
