I have listed a pair of Kastinger P.Habeler signature technical ice climbing boots in a man's size 8 (U.S.) (actually used by a size 7 1/2 with a wide foot) on eBay at
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7145614618&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
If a T4T'er wins the auction and mentions this notice, I'll sell him or her a pair of rigid Chouinard crampons in very good condition that precisely fit the boot for $50.
This set-up would be optimized for technical hard water ice but could be used for alpine style climbing. The boot soles are completely rigid with only a little rocker and are not suitable for walking long distances other than on soft snow. The crampons are a rigid design and would be ruined by hiking in rocky terrain.
This combo was used by my son for a couple of seasons when he was in his teens. They have been tested on ice climbs on the Tuck's headwall and on several Huntington gullies and worked fine.
