We didn't check with a thermometer, but I would guess it was in the upper 20's to very low 30's in the morning. (in pinkham though) By the time we got to the top of GOS gully #3, I would estimate it was around 25 up there too. What's that, around 5,000 feet, just under perhaps? I definitely don't think it was in the single digits when we left, then again we were out of there by noon. It didn't really feel like it was really dropping either (other than the usual drop in elevation). In fact, we got back to the car and I was thinking how nice it would be for a tailgate party! Jay from Chauvin Guides said it was supposed to drop throughout the day too. Perhaps it dropped after we started heading down, like I said, we were on our descent by noontime... I wouldn't want spring to start too soon up there. I'd rather it turn to spring at the ski areas first, we can ride the lifts and then hike once they close... use that resource up first, and THEN let it turn to spring up in the ravine. Sort of a prolonged spring skiing season. heh? ;) Yeah, that's I'm talking about, 2 months of corn skiing! WOOHOO!!!

Well, with the weather control dome that's slated to be installed next fall over the Rock Pile, that could be a reality...

I'm just giving thanks to Ullr for this coming spring, it will be great, I can just feel it. I think it was RR's Grappa on N Tripyramid...
