Any telefolks interested in going to the New England Telemark event at Bretton Woods this Saturday and skiing up the Sherburne on Sunday?
Also, random question, is snowshoeing up the Sherburne allowed?

I'm not a telefolk, but I have the Sherburne in my sights on sunday - planning to skin up with my inefficient splitboard.
I've heard that snowshoes are not allowed on Sherburne, but this is not rock solid solid beta.

I'm not sure how the Forrest Service can keep you from snowshoeing up the Shurburne - although it is definately bad form and not cool.
Anyhow you'd be much better off just walking up the tucks trail which parallels the Shurburne pretty much all the way tou Hermit lake.

I got yelled at for snowshoeing up the Sherburne.... won't do it again. So I wouldn't recommend it.

No snowshoeing on the Sherby. Not worth the risk of getting hit by a skier.
I once saw a sledder get taken out. NOT a pretty sight. At least they had their sled. :D
Can't say that about their brakes.
