We all want winter! It's so sad that I am spending my Saturday afternoon surfing websites to see where the snow fell out west and too get a look at some cool pictures.

Kfa - I don't think that's sad at all. I do that quite frequently, I also check the weather channel or weatherchannel.com to see where there is :snowflakes: in the US. I drive up to Cannon when i hear about the first bit of :snowflakes: in the notch, about 1 hour away, look at the snow for a little while, maybe play with it, then drive home :D

Well sad maybe not, thanks for putting it in perspective. I always forget that when it comes to being an addict, I am not alone.
I do think the first I hear of flakes in air I am hitting the pavement to find them.
I may even try Tenny when it opens.

oh yeah! TENNY..... it's pretty funny, the marketing is working already for them. who even knew TENNY existed 6 months ago? well, besides you NH folk. I can't wait, the wife, dogs and i hiked up to the top of big spruce (STOWE) today, and ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT was ripping through the woods this winter. man it cannot get here soon enuff. until then, thoughts of TENNY :D

Tenney is not a bad mountain. I learned to ski there some 25 years ago. It not big but some of trails have decent pitch and its never crowded.
I took my daughter there for ski lessons last year and out of three lessons, twice she was the only one in what was supposed to be a group lesson.
Lets hope they can deliver on the promise and open in early October with a 1000 verticle feet of skiing.

Interested in your teaching a kid to ski adventures, especially in this area. And interested in aquiring any ski equipment she might no longer need!
Just got my 3 yr old a helmet this weekend at a garage sale. Cha-Ching! There's $50 saved.

M@,
The lessons at Tenney are extremely affordabble, I think it was $45 for a two+ hour lesson and $15 for the rental of all equiptment. My daughter was three last year and really enjoyed the lessons and instructors. We looked at Sunapee, but it was about $85 dollars plus rental I think.
We have her enrolled for lessons at Manchester at a small ski hill. I can't for the life of me remember the name at this moment. The cost of lessons is about $95 for 5, 2 hour lessons. Oh yeah, its McIntyre.

One of our friends daughters was in this program. She is nine and was in the program for 5 years and there is nothing she won't ski.
We haven't bought any equiptment yet so there is none to hand down. However, I am a firm believer in hand-me-downs. I didn't have a new pair of skis until I was almost 30.

If interested in McIntyre sign up early. I called in Early November last year an they were booked for the whole season.
