Any recommendations for a first time climber
for Memorial Day weekend.Going with 12 year old good skiing son.

i would read matt's excellent sources on this website for an overview of the tuckerman experiece... besides that just get out there early, go slow, have fun, plan on carrying extra weight (saw lots of dads carrying their kids skis up this weekend as well as their own - thats love man!) as for memorial day, the run out might be gone by then making the bottom of the bowl fairly dangerous, definitely bring a helmet or just go up an ASAP weekend as long as the forecast looks good
