Mad River Glen..
I checked out their site, it looks 3/4 open with some good trails.
Ive never been there but Paradise looks inticing.
Has anyone had any expierence with the MTN.
How is paradise, is it as good as they say it is?
a bit...the cover will firm up fast during the switch to snow, and depending on the amount of snow that falls on top of it the Glen will be worth a look.
Grooming is such a foul word...the Glen has more skiers packing than machines packing so conditions get scrapey pretty quick. Keep those edges sharp!

Don't head south.
:snowflakes: And remember, suboptimal snow is a lot better than no snow -

The Glen has almost no machines packing and it can get scrapey quick if th conditions take it that way. They have gotten a fair bit of snow so far and the day after christmas was reported as an excellent day of skiing with snow in the forcast. A pretty long ride from CT though, I don't go that way but I would guess its at least 2 from the MA NH border on 91, 1.5 across MA, so I would think MRG is at least 4 from any point in CT

Hows Sugarbush?
Conditions look pretty good and they have alot of xpert open.
Im thinking 4.5hrs
what u think?
Let's see, it's about three hours to fly to Denver, add an hour at NY/NJ end and 2 at the other..do this on the "Red eye" both ways and it just might be worth the $ and the extra time.
Flights to Montreal or Quebec take a lot less time and ca$h and the food is better when you get there....
sigh...

On DRY roads I generally can get to :sugarbush: or :madriverglen: in about 3 - 3:15 (not driving like a mad-man/dawg)......This is from Enfield CT (aka the last town before Mass.)
My buddy who drives 1/2 the time (and drives like a madman) can get us to Exit 10 (Stowe exit) in 2:20 on dry roads from Enfield....(I refuse to drive that fast)
Hope this helps....

Wait until it snows again... That's my advice.
