I have skied Tuckerman's the past two springs. It is a great experience, but I am considering doing it this coming weekend (March 20-23) or next weekend (March 28-30). I would ultimately like to ski all the way down to Pinkham Notch along the Sherburne Ski Trail. Is this still possible after the snowmelt from this past weekend?

The past two times I've done Tucks, hiking up in hiking boots has been fine. However, I would prefer to do it in snowshoes, as I think it might be easier. Is there still enough snow to use snowshoes on the trail from Pinkham Notch?

Hey dj;Iwas at Tucks on 03/15 and there was snow from Pinkum all the way to the bowl on both trails. The best thing to do is check the back country weather and trail conditions before you leave. Happy Trails Bill

Typically the Sherburne is skiable top to bottom well into April and sometimes even till the beginning of May.

As the snowline begins to receed, you can ski down as far as possible and then take one of the connector paths over to the neighbouring Tuckerman Ravine trail to hike out the rest of the way to Pinkham.

Enjoy!
