Aren't there skiable trails on Mt. Carter. Alexandria or Duke's. Am I cofused??? I think the ledges are also skiable if I am correct.

Kfarrar, I think you thinking of cardigan when you say Alexandrea and Duke ski trail.

RR - is Carter Ledge part of the Carter Range/Wildcats? Looks like you had a gorgeous day!

Carter Ledge is on the way up to "Middle Sister", part of the Mt. Chocorua range south of the Kankamagus and West of Rt. 16 in NH.

Good hiking in the area...climbing in the Chocorua area is Wilderness Climbing, as in "few climbers and lots of bushwhacking".

Still sounds good though. Mt Passaconaway seemed to require a little bushwacking, that is, after you walk the 4 miles in just to get to the trail. Gotta love it all though.
