Not that everyone where needs a reminder:

Threes in the Trees. One to stay with the injured and one to go for help. (And one to huck a rock and break his stupid leg... or her leg)

M@ And don't forget when your ski slows down as it crosses over moss, when you go head over tea kettle!!

Also remember, you're better off staying put rather than wandering around "to keep warm." Dig a snow cave. No sense in letting all that body heat radiate off into space. Keep dry, and hence warm.

Glad to see there are so many sensible T4T'ers...see ya'lls in the Ravine on Sunday. Saturday I have a date with the Moose...might be staying out past Ravine Lodge Friday night...not sure yet.

Hooboy...it's gonna be cold this weekend too.

Nothing like a sub-headline reading "AMPUTATIONS LIKELY" to catch your attention.

Off-topic, but also in the eye-catching headlines department:

One of the skiers in my group kissed a tree :xmastree: this weekend. Fortunately, I think he only gave himself a radiculopathy...still, it was not a pretty sight.

I case anyone else was wondering:

radiculopathy
<pathology> A herniated intervertebral disk (nucleus pulposus) is one which has become displaced (prolapsed) from its normal position in between the vertebral bodies of the spine.

Herniated disks often impinge on nearby nerve structures resulting in pain and neurologic symptoms. A clinical situation where the radicular nerve (nerve root) is compressed by the prolapsed disk is referred to as a radiculopathy. This problem tends to occur most commonly in the cervical and lumbar spine.

...resulting in pain and neurologic symptoms. Does that mean it can cause you to hallucinate?
