I just got a new Osprey Ceres 50 and I made the bag watch the trailier so she knows what she is in for. She quietly thanked me, she was a bit concerned with the lack of mountians around NJ.

i have "elevated" by these guys. It was last years effort. Its pretty good, a lot of the stowe backcountry. Some guy goes huge off a cliff and rips a monster back flip at stowe. There is an article about them in last months skiing mag.

And I read the ski mag article on these guys. Sounds like they are very inexperienced backcountry skiers. I wonder how they got access to Katahdin?

That's what I was thinking... But the article points out that these kids are not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination. They are former UVM students and Stowe locals.

Just found this. Epoch: All east coast movie skiing all 5 of the highest peaks in New England. Lots of Tux and Washington.....

excellent find. i'm ordering the poop outta that one. i've been wanting to document my own trips. and make a moovie outta them. just gotta get a good camera with a battery that stays alive in the cold.....anyone, anyone??

I got a good camera and i was wonderi9ng the same thing about the battery....it was suggested that i keep the battery seperate and in a bag with one of those handwarmers until i use it. I think this might work.....

BRILLIANT!

Great idea..... I do that with my digicam.... BUT when you get humidity in or near your bod, the lens gets condensation, only sometimes. Keeping it in an outside 'waterproof' bag works without the condensation issue. If you're able to wire a separate battery pack then that is THE WAY to do it.

The heat pacs help prevent the sluggishness of mechanical items in 'extreme' cold.

Looks like some incredible skiing.

I'm giong to try and get a camera hooked up with a http://www.jonescam.tv/ . Two of these setups skiing in the woods together would make for some incredible footage in an editing room. ;)
