If I remember correctly its maybe 30-45 minutes depending on weather....I could be off, but if I am it's only going to be longer not shorter...I was just there last year.
Matt
45 minutes sounds about right...

So would they have a bus pickup or shutle, or will i have to rent a F'n car?

Close enough on the time. Ask your hotel about shuttles. You can rent a car cheap enough in town. The airport is more of course.
But what's with this "Jets" advertisement????
I'll bet you a fine top shelf beer on the game Sunday - payable at the top of Mt Marcy in January. Loser has to carry  Of course if its too cold to carry, payable in the parking lot after.
If your rent an f-in car.. You'll have th option to go to other areas that may have gotten more fresh then Alta/Snowbird..
Last year we called every morning and found out who had the most snow...

They have services sorta like a limo only cheaper....just call around or ask the front desk at the Ramada..they'll tell you what to do..
One GREEAT thing about Salt Lake is all the public transport is FREE...so when you want to go into town, you just hope the bus out front of the Ramada and you're off.. They all go to like "stations" around the Salt lake area...it's pretty neat. I suggest utilitzing it as much as possible, don't rent a car. Even if it is harder to get drunk, its really not worth the $ in my opinion.

They'll tell you if they provide shuttles/busses for SLC but a rental car will give you more flexibility.

Thanks!!! Been riding NS for a long time now... Never had any shwag from them.... Was bummed when they cancelled their demo last year.. Had everyone psyched to try the line out...
Go SOX!!!! Times certainly are changing... Who would've thought I'd spend 1/2 hour on the phone to get SOX tickets yesterday.... :)

And????? Did you get them? I saw the article and I was considering. But I'd have to travel from and to Philly. So I did not try.
And I second the rent-a-car. If gives you better options because the mountains are pretty spread out to the northeast and southeast.
No - didnt get the tickets...
I tried for M@ - figured I'd get 10/31 tickets and would go with him... Living in the Catskills now so it's only 3 hours drive...
But phone was busy busy busy busy...
bummer...
Thanks again for trying for the tickets. Getting to goto 2 of the ALCS games was plenty - so I'm not too bummed about no World Series tix. I'll have a great time either at my fav Sox Watching bar (long trail on tap) or on the couch at home.
BUT: I'll be in Boston for the Parade after they win - that's always a lot of fun, did the Pats one a couple years ago. Gonna skip the night time riots though.

I'm all set with all the crazies at night too.
If there is reason for a parade I will be there as well.
The mayor said this am on radio, it may be on election day nov 2.
That is if they win over next weekend, but thats a big if.
In salt Lake they have a ski bus, they have stops all around the city.
the hotels sell tix that include lift and bus for short $$$.
but it takes about an hour to go up the canyon, and it can get pretty cramped. took us 2 1/2 hours down one night, b/c of all the snow.
They have 2 routes one goes up little cottonwood canyon (alta/bird)
the other goes up big cottonwood canyon.
