We were a large party and it was clear to me that not everyone would fit into the tent. There was no room for the tent to stretch as it was already at the edge of our meager platform. Then there was the question of the drain on supplies.
We had climbed the peak, dealing with the formidable wind and a surprising amount of smoke. And now we were having to consider if all of us would make it past the pentultimate bivouac.
A sacrifice was called for and I stepped up and made it. I took the remaining two cigars and set off wondering if my companions would ever see me again.

Okay enough of that hsit!...we had a grand Sturday hiking Camel's Hump and the guys with the digi cams can post the real TR:
