KM, RR, BG, the other BG, and I had a great time tonight chowing down at Redbones and watching Journey. The film was fantastic, possibly his best.

Bladegirl and Bladeguy should have some pics to post shortly. My film won't be developed for several days, then scanned, adjusted etc...

I mentioned to KM on the way back to her car that I thought about it towards the end of the film, "We really are nuts." These films are not very different from each other yet we can't get enough. The same powder shots, the same big air, the same f****ng insane cliff hucks, the same wipeouts that make you wince (especially the guys on the rails, OUCH), and yet we want MORE MORE MORE

Heavenly is now on my short list as is a certain little place in Italy, Austria, and Slovenia. The lift ride is a bit crazy, but that place in Morrocco looked like fun to, if for no other reason than to say you skied outside of Marrakesh.

Slovenia is awsome!!! Have yet to make it to ride but the people, snacks, and boozin is great and cheap.

I have friends who have ridden at the Golan Heights in israel and they had a blast...it is on my list. Apparently once the snow melts back the slopes are littered with burned out army vehicles as it doubles as a firing range in the off season.

I also have an iranian friend that has skied there too....no lift lines at all.

I think SkiLas has met more people in person than anyone else at this point... or is he tied with KmRN? We need to map out "The Six Degrees of Tony Matt" or something.

Oh course, that map will be blown out of the water come spring when we're ALL at tux.

Agree on all points: Show possibly best, the commpany as good as it gets, and if you haven't been to Redbones you are missing a serious piece of the action.

Cam placements for a Mt Washington 4000 footer:
1) 50 feet below the roll, upper East Snowfield - catching the crew as they set out down the South Snowfield.

1a) follow, shooting and skiing into zoom range of cam 2

2) above the icefall, far enough back to catch the South Snowfield and still follow with zoom as far as the Headwall/Sluice

3) In the smaller rocks below the Chute Variations Zooming in to catch the riders/skiers transition onto the Headwall

4) Below the Icebulge above Lunch Rocks to catch the Headwall action

cams 2,3 and 4 shoot the Runout and editor selects

We still need Sherborne and Little Headwall

M@, we talked about the fact that none of us had actually met Dave, then wondered if ANYone had met Dave, and came up with YOU as our likely choice to prove he really exists.

Although SkiLas got home and went on line at 2:30 AM, BG & I just crashed (perhaps it could the be the fact that I had a margarita for every beer he had...), so we'll download the pictures after work and post them this evening.

The film was great! I was SO ready to hit the snow after (during!) the film, but you think I could dream about skiing after that? Noooooo! I have to dream about how I am trying to get on the mountain but my boss is keeping me back and making me calculate how much she has to pay for a lift ticket if the cost is $4.00 per kilogram of body weight. To my horror, instead of skiing I was doing math in my dreams converting her weight to kg (and accurately too!). Aaauuuggghh!

Want ski NOW!

Hey guys!! I had a great time last night. And, I DID dream of skiing all night, the good dreams, not the dreams where you forget your skis, or you want first tracks but don't get in line until 11am.

I have never met Dave - but we we're at Attitash at the same time and I SAW the Pt Cruiser. So I'm pretty sure he either exists, or has a very clever patsy to plant a PT Cruiser with whiteplates at the right place.

And we had all that extra Canadian beer with us! I'm sure we'll met up with many T4Ters this spring. Last year I did meet a few up in the ravine including Pontimax. I'm looking at 2 possible trips in 2004. One with the :teardrop: to do some camping on the trek back via VT/NY and one for sure staying at our secret spot, Lot #3 Blueberry Village.

I wish I could have seen "Journey"... I was busy though. Unfourtantely, I can't make the 20th either, I guess I'll have to wait for it to come out on DVD or something. Anyone know if Netflix rents ski videos???

Anyway, I haven't met anyone from this or any other board yet... but it's bound to happen this year! I'm headed up to Bretton Woods again tommorow, should be there around 12-1, if anyone else is there...

And of course I look forward to seeing people next spring up at :tucks: ... once it fills up with :snowflakes:

edit to say: Arriving @ BW around 12-1, should be there for at least 2 runs...
