Those of you who have not been to Grafton Notch State Park (ME) i highly reccomend a visit. It's located NorthEast of the Whites in the Muhossuc Mt. Range. The AT also passed though here and is said to be one of the more difficult streches.

Looks like there's some climbing there. Ski touring possible?

I hiked the 30 + miles of the Muhossuc range 12 years ago with a good friend. It was a great time and we met alot of thru hikers. Struck up some good conversations with Deldoc and WeatherCarrot.

At the last stream crossing, close to the trailhead we were delighted to find a photographer taking some nude photos of a couple young ladies. It was kind of hard to keep your eyes on the rocks :)

In general it's a thickly wooded area and, abrupt changes in pitch but there are some areas for sure. I've done a few Alpine decents with some friends and herd of others. I'd images Old Speck and or Bald Plate would have some nice turns once and if you get up there.

We were walking a beach last year and a young guy with a disposable camera was taking some shots of 3 young lassies wearing clothes from the 1930's... posing.. then sitting in the water and such. What a hoot! Think he had convinced them that he was a professional photographer or something. At least use a decent camera mon! :camera: :cooldog:

Justin, isn't Grafton Notch north of Sunday River? It sounds so familiar. I'm sure I've been there. Isn't there some well know resort right up in the notch? Forget the name now. Its on the right going north. I believe they have a private ski area there also.

Hey Dave, I know we're straying off topic here, but girls are a great reason to stray off topic :-) . Funny that u mention it, but I actually recall watching a special on the making of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue (which by the way was some A-rate programming!) and there is actually a photographer for them who uses a disposable camera because he claims that the difference in quality of the picture is not that great, and definitely not worth several thousand dollars in camera equipment! Heck, if I could take pictures of babes like that all day i'd spend every last dollar I had!

Cheers and happy "scenery" looking!
