Hey excellent research M@ (more rep points no doubt). I love the retro stuff.. anything ski related in NH 30/40's.... now are you suggesting Sig is doing a jump turn naked? Gotta have long poles for those turns! :jumpturn:
I suggest the skier doing the ski leg for the TimeforTuckerman Inferno 2005 team should make ALL their turns jump turns like these.. I lend em my long poles even...

Oooohhh! You found one of the old articles I've had for years, along with tons of others. I guess I'll have to step up the pace and transcribe them faster for your enjoyment!

Harkin have you read Allen Guttmanns' From Ritual to Record: The Nature of Modern Sports? It's supposed to have a few pages about the Inferno and mentions the Hochgebirge Ski Club (Boston) that started it all.

BTW, when I saw this thread, I thought you posted some old pics of Page or something... LMAO
I wonder if these guys knew fear... I be scared hsitless if I had to ski on that gear..
I mean - look at the stuff they're on... People bite it all the time in modern alpine gear.. They must've gone really slow or something...
