I'm probably going to leave from work in manhattan (timesSquare area) somewhere between 3 and 5.
Hopefully earlier so I can get out before the major traffic sets in.

That usually gets me on 95 about 35 -45 minutes later. Taking 95 up to 91 and then 90 over to Boston. ( at least I thing thats what Im going to do, unless someone has a better suggestion)

and thanks everyone for caring, Thats what I love about tuckermans, its more about the people and the trip than anything else.

ahhh I have an office at exit 100.....in Tinton Falls. I know the area.....bout an hour or so from me in Denville...

I'll be going up Friday night. Plan on skiing all day Saturday. I may try and meet up with Skilas to ski Great Gulf. We'll have to see how it goes.

I will be riding Saturday for sure, and Sunday is still up in the air. I am heading up solo, so if anyone wants some company on the hike let me know.

Smann as for driving dirx, you could take 91 all the way up, but the trip seems longer. I liked taking the route you described better, 90 to 290 to 495 to 93. The change in roads breaks things up a bit.

Jeez, even mapquest says to take 91 -> 290 -> 90 -> 495 -> 95 ->16 But I know this area and I would scream up 91 all the way and cut across 2 or some other such W->E link from VT to NH, unless you think you can reach 16 by 06:00 or after 23:30. Keep in mind that, generally speaking, VT troopers are much more lenient that MA troopers are, especially inside the 495 loop and on 90.

I grew up in Burlington VT , so I've never driven to tucks from anywhere but there,

I'll check out the "all 91 " route.

That just means it's now booked for a Sunday day trip to the cathedral in the mountains. Oh well... I'll get to the lean-to's yet.

I vaguely remember my 6 yrs older sister starring (well, not exactly starring) in Oklahoma in the 9th grade, which means I was about 7. Two years later I had a bit part (solo, with the only lights being the spot on me, the stage lights came up during my speach) in Annie.
