Jay is awsome. I keep hearing it was all glades, but didn't know what I was in for. The place is seriously glade runs from top to bottom in any direction you can fathom. The groomed/cut trails are fine, but every 10 ft there's a set of tracks heading into the trees, so that's what you do. That's what we did anyway.
Left Django's at 5:30, pulled into a line of about 10 jeeps waiting to get their 2 free tix per jeep around 8:30am. We had 3 peeps in our jeep so I hopped out to find a singleton. I found one near the front of the line, tapped on his window and he was clearing his passenger seat to let me in when "Ticket NAZI" spotted us and started screaming, "NO JEEP JUMPING! YOU'LL RUIN THE PROGRAM." So I sulked back to Django's ride and a few min later a guy tapped on the window and asked if I needed a ticket for $20, I said sure! And hopped out to pay him when "Ticket NAZI" spotted the transaciton and ran over threatening to call the state police.
So after a little excitement, and a full price ticket for M@ we hopped on the tram.

First runs were beyond beaver pond, which was awsome. We went far left to rest, and found lots of fresh lines in a good foot of powder on top of soft packed stuff. Excellent conditions to start, and they continued all day.
On some runs we were far from the frist person to hit the snow, but on just as many we were blazing fresh tracks thru a foot of light powder.

I was chasing Django and FreeBird most of the day, these guys ski together a lot and have a rythem/awareness of each other that allowed them to ski about 4-5 ft apart in the thickest trees, while I was in their way or visa-versa if I got too close. They're both pretty extreme and loved showing off for the camera, excatly the kinda people I love to ski with.

Met up with Steveborder+Friend around 11:00 for some excellent powder in Timbuktu. These two have no troulbe in the steep trees. I got some video of them coming through the trees, but I think they got spooked with a camera pointed at them, and it was far from their best performance.

We headed in for lunch+ and Django/Freeride headed to the chutes under the tram. I did another run with SteveBoarder after a few Long Trail Tram Ales (highly recommended) and then went off to find Django/Freeride. Caught them at the bottom of the tram and we header up to do Tuckerman's.

There hadn't been many people in here, and after the top of tuckerman we headed right and found a field of fresh powder where I was able to get a great picture of Django/Freeride doing some synchronized skiing:

That was an excellent run, so we headed back down to the tram and went up to do it again. A lot more traffic this time, so we ducked a little rope and dropped into the same snow field area from the Face Chute I think... Django was kewl enough to get some video of me in there:

After a lot more tree skiing I had to call it quits. Chasing these yutes was enough for me around 3:30 and I headed in to hold down a bar stool. Hooked back up with SteveBoarder a little after 4 and discovered his buddy had torn up the side of his board:

I guess on your last run of the day is the time you want this to happen.
Here's all the video combined to a simple movie... I wanted to slow down some of the action shots, but my version of Pinnacle Studio doesn't do that. (I'm getting a new version next week)

All in all an ACE of a day! Good company, good sliding and good beers.
