OK, short notice, but I'm not holding my breath that anyone will join me...

A delegation from T4T Team Portland (i.e., me and wife) will be going to Sugarloaf tomorrow hoping to find that -22F air at the summit. It promises to be even colder than last night's skiing at Shawnee. Should anyone be there, try hailing on an FRS Channel 9 frequency (I don't have any "privacy codes"). I figure I'll be wearing all the warm clothes I have, but look for my standard description: green jacket, black pants, blue lid, beard, and big grin.

Best of the weekend to you all!

I'm gonna be in the kitchen all day tomorrow for my planned 3 days away with wife, kids and some extended family.

Enjoy the cold... It's so refreshing!

Well, my jacket thermometer is only marked as low as -20 F, but the red barely left the bottom bulb all day. I did register -10 F at the base in the afternoon. Summit windchill was -58 F. Good skiing, though anywhere off groomed trails the snow was so hard that you couldn't leave tracks. The cold temps served to keep the crowds down, so there was never a lift line. Best of all, we didn't get frostbite.

Tune in next week, same time, same place...
