View Full Version : Stability saturday? West side of presi ridge, NW aspect

Any thoughts on stability for Saturday? I'm thinking about a run on the west side of the presi ridge with a NW aspect.

I haven't seen this slope yet this winter, but it seems that given the aspect, it's less likely to have had wind-loading due to predominantly W-NW winds. With temperatures going up and plenty of sun today and tomorrow, it seems that things should be getting more stable.

Any comments or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

LOW risk, but not NO risk.

That's what i'd been thinking, but I've been skiing mostly in Vermont lately and haven't seen the ridge for a while.

Thanks for the input!

Just looking out at the webcams from work today and boy does that other side look BONEY! Seems to be losing snow quickly in this warm up

yeah, doesn't look like last year for sure, but doesn't mean it's not worth doing. Any tales from the Great Gulf this year? How's it looking over there?
