Alright folks. Here's the deal. The eve of my knee surgery I went to Portsmouth to watch the Banff Mtn Film Festival. 'Twas a great time indeed. I really enjoyed two of the movies, Last Paradise (everything you think is radical and groundbreaking on skis has been done...while wearing jeans) and Eastern Rises (I thought that a movie about fishing in Kamchatka would be boring, but I laughed the entire time). But as part of the deal with those things, I got a free midweek lift ticket to Saddleback which, well, sadly I won't be able to use. So, here's the contest part:
I can't quite decide what I want to make you do, so offer something. It could be a poem, it could be a short short story, it could be a picture, or a Microsoft Paint drawing. As long as it has to do with skiing in the northeast (or if the picture is so completely in the White Room that you can't identify anything, so be it). Maybe a picture with a caption? This contest can be whatever you want, and the winner will be whichever entry makes me (laugh, cry, think '***?', happy, etc). So pretty random, but it's a lot more fun than simply saying "Hey I've got a lift ticket to give away."
Ticket is good midweek/non-holiday at Saddleback through the rest of this winter season. GO!
