It appears there is some counterfeit Petzl gear out there that fails safety tests.

All my Petzl stuff came from regular dealers or direct from the Rep.

Pretty freaky stuff. I don't like the idea of needing to question climbing partners about where they shop. I hope Petzl has success in stopping the counterfeits. Their own products are consistently reliable and they don't deserve the damaged reputation.
