Hey Guys,

I'll be up at Greylock tomorrow for at least the morning if not the whole day. You can recognize me via plain tan Marmot coat, black pants, red boots, Fritschi Freerides and a black helmet. Most likely will have black and white twin tip skis. Say hi if we cross paths!

Anyone think the powerlines will be skiable on "good skis"? I don't have skins for my rock skis so I was going to take my normal, nicer BC skis, but don't want to crack and edge or put in gratuitous core shots.

How was it? Looking to sneak out this week sometime and wondering about coverage/snow quality....thanks for any info. hope you had a great tour.

Snow conditions were good. Mostly a good base with one area that was thin (but not sketchy) at the top due to wind. The only issue was it was about 4-6" of blower pow on top of a thin ice crust. If you were straight lining you'd stay on top, but would crack through on hard turns which can really upset your balance if not paying 100% attention. So I would say 97% snow coverage, but not the same amount of snow quality. I will still glad I got out and had a great day, but some of the tele guys were having a tough time with the crust. Should be rectified with the new snow this week -- already another 3-4" from last night and more forecasted.
