another first timer

So, I'm another first timer interested in Tuck's for some adventure. My husband and I were planning April 20-22nd. Do you think with this season and conditions in mind that it would be OK? If so, once we get there will it be fairly easy to navigate? ... or will we need an experienced person with us? (Also, we are both snowboarders...is there anyone out there that has ridden Tucks lately?)
