Fires up high?

Heading up to the whites tomorrow night and spending 9 of the next thirteen days skiing and camping there and stowe. was wondering if anyone knew the rules regarding open fires in and around Washington.and Adams? bringing a backpack.stove but always love a campfire especially with the temps I'm expecting. any beta would be appreciated
