Toronto is cracking down on snowball fights, that most dangerous of winter traditions. Is this news in Ontario, or just here in the US where we can't figure it out?
Anyone here ever see a snowball war in the Ravine?

Thankfully I live in Ottawa, not Toronto...

Can't believe I found this other story about Canadians and snowballs... and low and behold one of the photos is a BIG snowball at Tucks!
See it at HERE (http://www.frymybacon.com/articles/articles.php?article_ID=130)

Lets all
I made a big snowman (see my Avatar) over Christmas. It was knocked down twice. The second time the top ball was missing (that be his head) and a computer generated note was attached... it read: "if you want your snowmans head back, you'll find it at your mommas".
sheesh its becoming a tough life with snow these days. Hey I bet you'll have to get permission to photograph snow on your neighbours lawn by next year!

We had pretty big snowball fights at Clarkson - I think it was usually the first morning it snowed - everyone would just show up and have a big snowball fight. I dunno if the sides were very well determined, I seem to remember it was actually roving bands of people as opposed to two big sides.
We used to do the snowman destruction in our neighborhood when I was one of "those damn kids." We found that a slinky stretched out was the quickest way to deal a fatal blow, one guy holding each side, and just run down the street slicing the snowmen in half.

Not to mention that makeshift pond hockey rink that had to be disbanded in Ottawa.
