When I was there in May last year, there was just me and Saxman on the radio, it was fun making requests. Although I think elwood and Dr. Phos were there, but I didn't hear them on the radio. I think I passed them on the way up. And then they passed me....and then I passed them....and so on and so on

Geeeeez, I would like to try my new FRS tomorrow at Tucks, but once again, they changed the forecast for some afternoon showers in the ravine + thunderstorms..... they just changed the forecast for saturday at Tucks 214 times in the last 5 days. What a weird meteo place... just like La Réserve. It can change once again, but if it remains like that, I'm not sure my co-Tucker will want to come.

I always make up my mind at Pinkham Notch and even that is not a sure thing. My first time there was June 21st, 97 first day of summer and it was a beauful day until about 3:30 when it clouded over and down poured for about an hour then the sun came back out. The weather is freaky and unpredicable just go, I'm sure you won't be disappointed one way or another. If you don't want to stay on the mountain. White Birches Campground in Gorham is cheap and really nice. That would give you two days to check things out.

Frank, stop prolonging the inevitable and just go man!!! I can guarantee you that even though it says t-storms, the weather will be gorgeous. The t-storms (if they occur) will be isolated, and I bet you don't even get rained on. Listen, do it like Toni Matt used to do, he didn't have a meteorologist telling him if it was going to be nice or not. You can't rely on a weatherman to tell you what it is going to be like up there, because you never know. Stop talking about it, grab your sack, and get up there!!!!

As what I've seen the last 2 weeks, it was a good decision to stay home. Jolly, it's a 1-day trip. Leaving at 5am and coming back late, saturday night.

I don't want to hear another peep out of you aabout your postponed or about to happen trip until you have been and can show pictures. The weather in the Ravine is rarely, if ever, the same as it is anywhere else. Just pack up and go. If it rains, you get wet, if its sunny you get burned.
