Is it bad to call in "sick" to Mother's Day? Need to be in No. VT right now.

Forecast Discussion
Low pressure will continue to deepen as it exits into the Canadian Maritimes and an upper level trough rides its heels. This will further deepen the pressure gradient over the northeast today keeping winds high into the overnight hours with gusts possibly topping out around the century mark today. The northwesterly flow will also drag in colder air for the forecast period allowing daily averages to be some 10 to 20 degrees below normal for this time of year. This cold air will also be met with unsettled weather bringing additional snowfall to the higher summits today possibly with snow levels dropping as far down as the Notches and surrounding valley floors overnight. Monday will continue to see the cold, unsettled cyclonic flow as the trough exits and a weak ridge slowly builds in later in the day. Some drier air tied to the high may bring some late daytime clearing. As far as new snowfall totals on the summit, expect 2-4 inches today, trace to two inches overnight and trace to two inches tomorrow.
