I can't believe. That's what I needed to hear. I am so ready to get out their and start my season.

I know most people will wait until the spring skiing, but there is no way I can wait that long.

I'm sure to be checking it out sometime in mid to late Dec. I'll keep you posted. All that I'm asking for is enough snow to get me back to the parking lot!! Or at least most of the way http://timefortuckerman.com/ubb/smile.gif

I plan on revisting tuckermans...it has been
23 years (really) since I skied it last. My buddy and I have traded in the 213's for some shaped skiis. My question. Can tuckermans be skiid in the fall or is that a disaster waiting to happen?.
Thanks

Not happening man. Even with the snow there now, there is no base. You'd be killing yourself on rocks, ice, and old discarded ski and board gear from seasons past, all hidden below the sown cover.

Wait a bit. It will be butt cold. But the snow will be good. Don't forget to be really safe during the early parts of the winter season.

I too am planning on heading up the weekend of December 13th. I was going to hike in Friday night, and poke around a bit on Saturday.

If the snow keeps up their should be plenty to ski, maybe not the headwall, but lots of the surrounding area.

I would love to just be able to just skin up. If I can't ski in the ravine then hopefully the Sherburn will be skiable.

I am looking forward to a good year.

Maybe I'll see you. I'll be on a splitboard skinning up also.

Oldtimer,

What about you and your friend. When are you planning on going up?

Did you ski the Headwall 23 years ago?
