that is only a route for hiking. many have tried and failed. the snow just doesn't stick. keep reports coming from the real exotic spots that are worthy of turns CG. you'd be wasting yer time with the long approach.

it would go in perfect avy conditions obviously....but i agree with the others..

Well, I suppose you have a point in that if it's anything like the Dacks slides I've done, yer probably right the snow won't stick easily in the majority of conditions. But spring 2007 was a beautiful season for slide skiing, even in the Dacks which don't get as much snow. I'm sure Tripyramid comes into condition sometimes, and a search of this forum would indicate that it's been skied, and skied fairly often from the sound of things.

Long approaches are a beautiful thing though. Especially when you're a cross country snowboarder with a horrible case of skootch leg.

im not gonna do it because the approch is long and it would probably either be all ice or snow over ice and i dont own the mountains so id rather be smart then stupid!!! Thanks for the help guys look for another CG TR very soon :-)
