Update

Just an early update.

I hiked up on Sunday. The lower portions of the headwall had great, soft, stable snow. Above that was all rocks and ice. The S. trail was all powder. But there were exposed rocks and branches, and no base. Bring your rock board/skis. I think that the weather today will help up in the bowl. But its raining in the parking lot.

I was on the summit on 1/5. Looking down in the bowl on our way down we saw 2 skiers making first turns just left of the hourglass. Deepest snow that we saw in the snowfields was about 4 feet. - SherpaKroto
