Last first: Skiing out on the Sherburne trail is by far my favorite way to get down off the hill. My favorite time of year in the Ravine is February, no rocks in the trail and I can lash the pack to my skis and haul the the whole thing on a rope. Then there's skiing out over hiking out...yup skiing is better than walking! My knees are happier when there are no rocks on the hike, in or out.

As for the rest, this year I have seen more people in the Chute than usual. I wonder why that is? I remember Left and the Lip as getting most of the traffic, with Sluice right behind.

Oh well, work beckons..see ya!

Yeah and while on the subject... Sluice and Lobster Claw are two completely seperate lines! Sluice is a sort of winding line climbers left of the cliffs above Lunch Rocks, and Lobster Claw is the next pair of gullies that form a claw of sorts to climbers rigth of Rigth Gully (aka, right right gully).
