Looks like they'll be running a lift this weekend, tickets just 10 bucks! I'm gonna shoot for a few turns on sunday but we'll see. Def. gonna head up early monday however for some earned turns and to pick up the pass. Maybe they'll even have the lifts running for next week as well, but with the 50 degree temps upcoming I'm not to hopefull. Anyone have any experience skinning in the wee hours of the morning up there, yay or nay?

It looks like the only thing open is the learning hill. Sunday River may be the only show around.

as I plan out my ski budget for the year I am always surprised at what gas costs me to travel. Once the year is going I don't care too much. I really look forward to skiing Bretton Woods for the first time this year, but I will wait until the day after a storm.

Hmm I'm staying at the MTW hotel this weekend, I may have to get a few turns in.

I just dumped a gee wiz (1 grand) into the Jetta TDI this week getting it all set for the 5-600 mile round trips to The Whites or Mad River Glen. The payback is quick when the alternative is a Suburban. 42mpg vs 13mpg. But the Suburban is nice when you have to move kids or troops when everybody pitches in. BTW, Snowball on Manadnock Saturday. http://picasaweb.google.com/glpgeorge/MtManadnock1172009#5401864290678834610 That's my son, the cliff droppin Les Paul playin, surfin, longboarded down the Smugglers Notch road (Stowe side), "yeah I'm still goin to class" 19 year old whose favorite quote is "hey Dad, mumble mumbe mumble can I borrow 20 bucks" but I love him
