The weather isn't cooperating quite as it should and indeed :kc: might be just the inspiration we need to make it through the rain and work to the next powder day.

What do you say? Sometime next week or thereafter?

Tuesday is a planning board meeting I should go to... short version - they're trying to put a mall in across the street, and we don't want that.

Long version: http://www.mallimack.com

But it's near impossible getting a date for everyone to agree - so go without me. Tuesday late is awsome at the ribshack as it's open mike night. Get there 8ish, down a few jumbo-beers, and then the show starts.

MMMmmm... ribs.

M@ster and Commander, does that mean they would be putting in danger our precious :sandpit: ?

M@

Sandpit is not in emminant peril. Neighbor's backyards are most likely casualty.

Arrgh, I'll probably miss out seeing you all :kc: tomorrow night. I'm getting braces put on that morning. :envy: I don't think I'll want to eat ribs in front of anyone while I'm getting used to them, it might be pretty gross! I'm thinking a fruit smoothy & advil for dinner.

Have a great time!

That's no excuse :p

The beer won't get caught in your braces. Eat earlier and then just come to :kc: for the :beermug: and T4T company.

See you all then. I might be well on my way by the time you all there. I can be there by 6:00.

Just enought to get one or two big beers ahead of you all.

If you get there early - get a table on the right as you walk in, as the band sets up on the left side, towards the windows. We had the table in the middle once and it worked great.

Have a big pigs ear for me.

Thanks for the tip M@.

And if for some reason those mall developers see the error of their ways in the first 15 minutes of the meeting, you know where to find us.

See you all tonight assuming I can get my wheel fixed...

I told Plummet to come along and make sure S&R doesn't bail, but I haven't heard a peep from either of them.

M@ call me when the meeting is done and I'll tell you what we are doing

Pork products and Pigs Ear (or other fermented products) was enjoyed by Django, KMRN, Ski&Ride, KFar, and myself at Kcs this fine evening. Upon arriving, Ski&Ride reported seeing flakes, Django confirmed that he had also seen flakes. KM said it was flaking when she arrived. I arrived home to a dusting over everything and was pleased.

Surely Ullr and Joe were jubilant that we worshippers got together to toast and eat pork products. I'm not entirely certaain that the pork product part was necessary but it was a welcome addition!

To Ullr and Joe!! and may we please them more!!

KC's is the only place I have ever been to that serves a 32 ounce beer(may not be that big), but they serve it in a huge mug.

I had one, and then a 12 ounce one. I can tell you that having not eatin much all day I certainly felt the effects.

I unfortunately didn't make it to KC's as early as I hoped, but maybe that was a good thing. If I had two big ones, I might have been staying the night in the parking lot, BRRRRR.

Hey M@ how did your meeting go?
Are they going to give you a golf cart to use for your shopping pleasure?

M@
01-09-2004, 10:01 AM
Mall thing went okay - but I'm getting sick of having to deal with my neighbors. They're nice folks - but trying to get anything done in an informal manner is becoming difficult.

Planning board voted 4-2 to send the idea to the first of 2 public hearings, so next tuesday I get to go to that meeting and convince a couple more planning board members not to send it to the 2nd hearing.

It's not fun. It's not rewarding. It takes up a lot of time.

that is for sure. I am more often on the other side of the fence trying to convince the comunity that development is good. It is a very delicate line that both sides tread.

Trying to rally support from the indifferent is exhausting unto itself.

Have they done environmental and waste water studies for the site?

Good luck.
