First Trip to Tuckermans on April 26th, is there going to be snow?!!

What's going on? I'm planning on heading up to Tuckermans on the 26th and camping out there till the 27th (Hermit shelter). What are my chances to ski it, is there still going to be snow?? Any recommendations or hints for my trip would be much appreciated..

There will definatly be some snow. Hillman's will probably still be in excellent shape as well as lots of stuff in the bowl.

Don't count on skiing down to the parking lot though. Sherburn was good yesterday, but this week is gonna be brutal on it.

Camping up there this time of year is lotsa fun. Super crowd and the view! WOW! Not much moonlight then, so bring a headlamp and you'll have a ball.

I am planning on getting there Saturday morning, very early to hopefully reserve a spot to put up a tent. What do you think my chances are on getting a spot?? Should I head up on Friday instead??

It's always best to get there on Friday as early as possible - 6-8 am if you can manage it. I've seen the huts full up for the weekend by 9 am on Friday.
