For those with nordic tendencies: After almost 40 years, the Jenks hope to retire and sell Windblown XC ski area after this coming season. Others have founded a nonprofit to purchase and operate the area as a race facility - a big trail redesign, snowmaking, lights, stadium, and conversion of the Jenks home to a timing facility:

I would certainly be happier for their plans to work out than for the property to be subdivided or otherwise closed to the public... but for all of us who think that Windblown in all its carefully-tended, peaceful, laid-back, low-carbon-footprint glory is pretty darn perfect as it is, get out there this season!
