 :cool:Kirkwood has a 6 day pass for $239 for the season and the kicker is that you pay $49 now and $190 later. Bonus is $10 on weekend/$15 on mid-week tickets off for a friend or for you on the Saturday Blackout day. Sierra at Tahoe gives ticket discount for other area pass holders.
Bus from Reno airport to South Lake Tahoe is $46. Hotel with breakfast for $55/ night in South Lake Tahoe.
:teardrop: :teardrop:$5 shuttle to Kirkwood with reservations. Free shuttle to Sierra at Tahoe which just included Huckleberry Canyon as inbounds. Free shuttle (long) with reservations to Squaw-still no need for a car.
:snowdream: :snowdream:Some amazing back country if you can hook up. Flights into Reno should be cheap to come by. Now I am going to wait and see how the season develops. If they get snow early, then I am going end of January into February. If things start slow I will shift to end of February, beginning of March. Avoiding Early season, late season, MLK, and Presidents day ski week.
Hoping to do 15 days for:
season Ticket $239
Sierra at Tahoe $59
Squaw $75
Shuttle and bus to Reno $120
Hotel for 14 nights $770
Flight $325
Shipping 3 pairs of skis both ways $140
I wont count food because I will
eat as cheap as I do at home. ditto beer.
Miscelaneous costs of $200.
Squeaks in under $2,000 for 13 days of skiing in California. If I can find a couch to surf i might be able to dramatically cut my highest cost. Potential savings on flight also if i get lucky. More potential savings in replacing earning my turns for Squaw and Sierra at Tahoe tickets. Low end for 13 days skiing in California: $1,300 if i get real squeaky on deals. Well that is my goal because $700 funds a second vacation-say Newfoundland in the Spring.
Kirkwood 6wood season pass $49 down payment.
Any one know of a comfy couch in South Lake Tahoe?
