sluice in particular was spectacular yet again today. perfect day to lap the longest, widest, smoothest line on george at this point. still over 500 vert and not a track or bump in it today. next week?

What a great day! Perfect weather, nearly perfect snow quality, and no black flies.
I took seven laps, and then finally was running out of time (if I wanted to eventually get to bed at a reasonable hour).
The only three drawbacks:
-- I got there so late that although I met up with Rog & my namesake Jonathan at the base of the bowl, they were already about to head down once I arrived.
-- My altimeter said the run was 20 feet under 500 vertical, but that could of course be explained by unusual atmospheric conditions. (Right?)
-- The drive from western Mass is . . . long.
