CURRENT Tuckermans Hiking Trail Conditions

Am going to be hiking Tuckermans trail on Sat. May 16th. I was wondering if anyone knows the current conditions of the hiking trail. We will be bringing a 5 month old baby and wanted to make sure the hiking trail wasn't too "hairy". Does anyone know where the snow starts on the trail...does most of the trail still have snow or only near the top? Thanks for the help.

Not much snow left at all.

snow is on maby 1/4 of the trail near the end. on sat. 5/9 it was slick below the snow.

Most of the trail is snow free conditions.This past weekend The first mile up was summer conditions, the second mile got muddy with intermitent patches of snow, and then the top 1/4-1/2 mile was pretty much all snow. There was usually ice at the interface of snow and no snow, so take caution with baby on board.

I'd be more concerned with baby's warmth given the age and the variable weather conditions.

and that friggin thing is glacial from the last major bridge on up. way too much snow still for this time of year. for someone that has no need for crampons at almost any time above treeline, i would've loved to at least had yaktrax on today on the tux trail going in and coming out. "not much snow left"-not accurate.
