Isn't summer the best time to be buying new gear! I just picked up a new large volume bc day ski pack. It is the Life-link valdez, which they are discountinueing. If you interested, it is at sierratradingpost.com

NHSki,
I love shopping for ski gear in the summer. I actually just got last year's North Face Mountain Bibs (Gore Tex XCR- great stuff) for less than half price. Gotta love the deals!!!

 I can't find anything in my size off season... My late-season crampon hunt was a total failure. And, my recent hunt for a new racing helmet was also spectacularly unsuccessful (I could only find fluorescent pink  ). Do you have a secret or are you just lucky?

I like to go hike at closed ski areas and find gear that was dropped....ski poles, gloves (sometimes it's hard to find matching pairs but as long as they are warm I don't care!), used Chapstick, etc. Sometimes even find partial bottles of soda and stuff!!! OK, have fun, be safe. Al :skistooge:

Nice Score NHski!
Sierra Trading is a great store! One I'd add to the list especially for kids stuff (outdoor clothes) is Campmor.com.
It is also a good time to stop in at the ski shops in the North Country I've had good luck there. And don't forget Ebay.
Oh and Al (stoogie), I need some new boots, size 12, preferrably a low volume fit. Please let me know if you find any. I'll pay shipping! (plus some beer!)
P.S. The days are getting shorter!

Castle: I have a size 11 Dalbello that I found...I'll keep my eye out for another boot (sometimes they are close to the same color..rarely the same brand, however) within one to two sizes of the Dalbello. lol Have fun, be safe. Al :skistooge:
