When to go

...I am thinking of going to Tucks the first weekend in June this year...Is this considered too late?...Are people usually still hiking up there for skiing so late?

Skiing in June is possible however it is limited and requires great caution! As the snow recedes in the bowl you are limited to skiing on the steep walls. You don't want to fall as you'll end up sliding into the huge bolders at the bottom of the ravine. (I've witnessed that before).

I've been up there hiking in mid July and run across a few diehards skiing/boarding the last few yards of snow.

Here is a photo taken in mid May 1998. It represents were the snow level will probably be by early/mid June this year.
