I was wondering how long it would take you and elwood to resurface. (He's still sleeping it off). I take it Phish was worth the trip..

I slept pretty much 13 hours yesterday after taking 3 showers...
The older I get the more these festivals become an endurance test.. By the end of the 7th set of music on Sunday I could barely move let alone bend over and pick up my stuff on the ground my back hurt so bad...

The weekend was just awesome... I want to live in Maine...

There were quite a few of us phossiles at my daughter's bday party, and we all wished we were there a little bit.

Bowie was a highlight for me...
They played this amazing droning note for about 10 minutes before the jumped into Bowie..
I thought about you when they slammed into it..

DMC, I got your message, but was not getting any cell phone service up there. I tried reaching you on 4-22 a couple of times on Saturday, but ended up giving up due to the traffic on every FRS channel available!

WOW. That is about all I can say about IT. That was one of the best music experiences I have ever had. They rolled out the red carpet for us over in VIP camping, we were behind the stage for soundcheck on Friday, and got access to the platforms in front of the relay towers. Free beer at the Betty Ford Clinic was a nice bonus, too. My highlight of the show was the YEM on Sunday, amazing... All six (scheduled) sets were fantastic, and the control tower was mind-blowing. I can't wait until next year!!! DMC, were you lucky enough to get yourself a poster?

I just bought a few veggie buritos and some coffee..
Well and some chocolate... But that's another story... :) Let me just tell you - IT WAS REALLY GOOD CHOCOLATE... I'd like to bring some to Tucks sometime...
We brought beer into the concert in our backpacks that they didnt check...

Glad you had a good time! We peons suffered through all the mud in the field...

I loved that note they kept going back to all weekend and spacing out on... They played it for a while before Bowie...

The Tower Jam will always be a standout concert experience for me!

As for your sampling of chocolate... I munched on some chocolates too! They were damn good. We got them from some chicks from San Fran. They really knew their chocolate! That made the Tower of Power all that much better!!!

Thank god I brought a skateboard... Which I stashed at a friends (legal) vending booth...

A weekend Phish fest and Tuckermans damage me for days... Feeling all better today... But I needed 2 nights of 10+ hour sleeping...

A good friend of mine is a rookie New York State Parks Police Officer on Long Island NY..

He called me last night... He was working the Dead show.. He asked me what a "gooball" was...
I didn't know what to tell him... This is the first time he's ever called me about something like that - the dude is a drinker but that's it...
I told him it was just sweet dough with hemp oil... No big deal... Made to rip people off... He'd be better off busting nitrous tanks.... Which he did..

He also met Mike Gordon that night... Elwood - you have friends who work for Phish... Did they say anything about Mike getting into a little trouble with the Hells Angels last night at Jones Beach?????

I haven't really talked to any of them since the show. Most of them are still up in Limestone. Was Mikey raising hell on his segway with a bunch of Harley riders? What a funny picture, Gordon on a Segway with a bunch of Hell's Angels!
