So did anybody see the Arural Event of the Century last night?
I made a quest north of toronto to find a break in the clouds but to no avail. It could be even better this evening. But clouds are forcasted again.

If it is clear in your neck of the woods....head out starting around 11 pm and look up to the northern horizon. The aurora tends to pulse in intensity in half hour blocks...so keep looking over the course of the night. We had a show down here a couple of years ago that was the best in years and this event is supposed to be way better.

Best times for viewing are between 11pm and 3am.

Excellent. I am on afternoons so I'll be able to venture out. Hopefully this cloud cover will break.

If you can't see them... give a shot on this link. The Northern Lights are amazing.

I found this out while surfing on the Whitehorse (Yukon Captial) web site.

Should still be good tonight, and I heard that New England skies will clear up after twilight. Reputedly visible as far south as Texas.

there were reports of visible lights as far south as new mexico (faint red glow. They say there is still potential tonight for a decent show at lower latitudes. It was cloudy here again last night.
